Jackson is 8 Months!!!

Jackson turned 8 months old this month! He is growing so fast. He is a healthy and happy boy and is loving life. We are loving life with him too.  He is such a fun boy and he is so sweet! He loves helping us with chores and loves nighttime when both daddy and mommy are home. His dad seems to be his best friend to play with, but his mom is the comforter.  I love watching my boys together.

Jackson's first time standing caught on camera!

Jackson outgrew the bumbo so he got a new highchair and he loves it!

 Jackson loves the laundry basket.

Sorry about the naked picture, but it was too cute not to put it in!

What Jackson Has Been Up To at 6 and 7 Months

7 MONTHS
Jackson is 7 months old now and as usual we can't believe how fast this has happened! Our baby boy is growing up right before our eyes.  Jackson is turning into such a fun boy.  He keeps us entertained at all times. There is certainly never a dull moment.  He is especially busy this month because he is learning to crawl. He started getting on all fours and rocking back and forth which I couldn't believe was happening because he never really scooted anywhere.  Next he began pulling his knees under himand then pushing them back out.  Now He pulls them under and puts the rest of his body out flat infront of him. He occasionally does an actuall crawl, but not very often.

This month we had Jackson's very first Halloween.  He was a cow and may I just say he was the cutest cow I have ever seen.  He looked so adorable in his costume.

My mom, Kylie, Ashley, and Lily came to visit us. Jackson wasn't really sure what to think of Lily.  She was pretty sweet to him for the most part, but when we turned our heads she always stuck in a jab or two lol.  She also wanted to be a baby just like Jackson so we gave her a pacifier of her very own.

Jackson has been working very hard on sitting up this past month and he has now got it down.  He likes to sit up like a big boy.  He can even play catch while sitting up now.  Watching him play catch has made us think that he may be left handed. We will see.

Jackson also had his first cold this month.  He got it right after he got his flu shot and he has to get another flu shot this next month so I really hope he doesn't get sick again.  He was so miserable and it lasted for three weeks.  We finally took him to the doctor to make sure it wasn't serious.  It was just a cold, but we did get to weigh him at the doctor's office and he weighed 19lbs 1 ounce.

And since this is the month of firsts for Jackson he got his first tooth! Teeth actually. He is getting both of his front bottom teeth at the same time. He is very slobbery and pretty grumpy. I just hope they come all of the way in very soon.

6 MONTHS
At six months old Jackson is such a lively boy! He is so much fun and brings so much joy into our home.  He loves going outside and playing in the grass and watching the cars and people go by.  We try to go outside everyday and go for a walk everyday.  I am pretty bumbed because it is starting to get cold outside and I know I wont be able to take him out that much longer.

Jackson loves to jump in his jumper! (Thanks Auntie and Uncle Mike) He thinks it is so much fun and it is so fun to watch him.  He gets very excited when we put him in there.

Jackson loves being a part of everything that mommy and daddy do.  He helps with all the chores.  He even got to help wash the truck!
Jackson absolutely loves his dad! (And who wouldn't?!) His dad is so good with him and Jackson gets so excited when it is time for daddy to come home and play.

What a cutie!

4 and 5 Months

Jackson is now five months old. That's right, five months. Time has flown by so fast! We have enjoyed every minute of Jackson being in our lives. He brings us so much joy and we can't imagine life without him.  I wasn't able to do a four month post so I thought I would catch up with a four and five month post.

FOUR MONTHS:

This is Jackson the day he turned 4 months old Aug. 19, 2012
At four moths old Jackson is 24.75 inches tall and weighs in at 15lbs 15oz.  Yes he is a big boy who loves his food lol.  He is now eating rice cereal and although he was a little iffy about it the first try, he loves it!  I can hardly feed it to him fast enough.

Jackson is also holding his head up so good now.  He loves it because he can look around when he is on his tummy and he can see his toys.  He still doesn't like tummy time, but this does seem to make it more barable for him.

Speaking of his toys, Jackson is starting to learn to play with them a little bit.  He mostly just tries to put them in his mouth.  Infact he tries to stick everything is his mouth that he can get a hold of. He will even chew on your arm when you are holding him.
Jackson rolled over for the first time on August 19th, the day he turned four months old.  He looked up at us with a little fear and a lot of confusion and has not even tried to do it again.  I know that once kids become mobile it is harder to keep track of them, but he is getting so restless that I hope he starts rolling over soon.

FIVE MONTHS:

Jackson is now five months old. Holy cow! It is so crazy to think that he has already been here five whole months, and yet we cannot even remember life without him.  He is the most amazing boy and brings us so much joy. It is so fun to watch him as he learns and grows and discovers new things. He has been doing a lot of this discovering lately.  He is becoming much more coordinated and is putting everything into his mouth.  He even grabs the spoon from me while I am feeding him his cereal and he shoves it in his mouth and will not let go.  He gets mad at me when I finally take it back from him. He loves his pacifier, but not really to calm him down or pacify him, he plays with it just like a toy.  Whenever we put it in his mouth he takes it out and then tries to figure out how to put it back in on his own.  When he gets it in right I'll tell him good job and say "You did it!" and he smiles so big and gets so proud of himself.  I think he is beginning to discover his voice because he has started yelling in this really high pitch tone and once he gets started he keeps it up for a while.  He has found his ears and likes to play with them while we feed him.  My favorite thing that he has started doing though is giggling.  I have never heard such a wonderful sound in my life! He has the most adorable smile and now he has added the most adorable giggle to it.

I don"t have any video of Jackson actually rolling over because of course he never rolls over when I am trying to record it, but he is starting to learn how to roll over from his back to his stomach.  He has done it a couple of times, but doesn't quite have the hang of it yet.  I am sure he will soon though!

Jackson loves his changing pad.  Whenever we lay him down to change his diaper he starts kicking his legs like crazy.  He puts his arms down to his side and puffs his chest and sticks out his lips and just kicks.  It is so funny and so cute.  He does it even more when he is naked.  After his bath we will put him there to dress him and put his diaper on and he goes crazy! we always let him do it for a couple minutes before getting him dressed.

We went to Utah the first week of September and it was a lot of fun. Jackson loved his cousin Lily and she was so excited to see Jackson again.  She love helping me with Jackson and she loves to be as close to him as physically possible. This meant that we had to keep a very careful eye on the two of them, but it was so cute. She gave him lots of kisses and loved when she got to hold him. It will be so much fun when he is old enough to play with his cousins.

Jackson loves the remote and anything else that he sees mommy and daddy using. Our baby is growing up so fast. He is such a joy to be around and we love every second that we get to spend with him! We love you Jackson.

3 Months Old

It's official, Jackson made it to 3 months old.  We cannot believe how fast the time has gone.  He is growing so much and getting bigger every day.  At his two month appointment, which was actually when he was two and a half months old, he wiegh 13lbs 5oz and was 23.5 in tall.  He is in the 75th percentile for height, weight, and head size.  He is getting pretty good at holding his head up during tummy time and he is loving being able to sit up (with assistance from us or the bumbo).  Infact he is getting a little restless laying on the floor.  He just wants to be able to run around and play.  He has also discovered his fist and sucks on it all the time.  He also drools a ton! I think one of our favorite things to happen this past month is that Jackson has officially begun sleeping through the night!  He is such a fun amazing boy and we are so blessed to be his parents.  We love him so much <3
Our chunky monkey sitting up in his bumbo.

 Holding his head up

He loves sitting all by himself.

He has discovered his fist and loves sucking on it.

He loves that he can hold this ball all by himself.  He tries to put it in his mouth and gets upset that it won't fit. It is pretty funny.
Jackson and Mommy

Happy Fourth of July!

We went to Fallon for the 4th of July and it was a lot of fun. We got to see a lot of our family that we haven't seen in a while and Jackson got to meet a lot of new people. We spent the first three days at Lake Lahontan and although it was really fun it was so nice to relax on Saturday. Needless to say we had a great time, but were glad to come home.

Jackson and Kinzie love each other!
Jackson loved his great grandmas!

Jackson was so happy to get out of his carseat and be home!

Jackson is 2 months old!

People say that time goes by so fast and your little ones grow up so fast, but you never realize how true it is until you have one of your own!  Our little guys is two months old already and we can't believe it.  He is getting so big and so strong and even a little chunky, which I never really thought would happen.  He is starting to get pretty good at holding up his head especially when he is sitting up (with assistance from mom and dad).  He is starting to grab things and let me tell you this kid has got quite the grip.  He pulls out chunks of mom's hair everyday.  He is also becoming a chatter box.  He tells his mom and dad stories all the time.  And my favorite thing is that he is starting to smile when we talk to him!  He has the most adorable smile and it is so fun to know that he is seeing and hearing us.  He has started sleeping pretty well at night and we are soooo grateful for that.  We are sleeping him on his stomach which we know is frowned upon, but he is so much happier and so are we!

Here is a video of Jackson telling mom and dad a story :)
